Legal
Privacy policy.
What personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it and what rights you have.
1. Who we are
This website, bdotsolutions.com, is operated by Bdot Software Engineering, a software company based in Belgrade, Serbia (“Bdot”, “we”). We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at office@bdotsolutions.com.
2. What data we collect
- Data you send us. When you write to us by email or through the contact form, we receive the details you choose to provide: your name, email address, company and the content of your message. The contact form sends your message to our mailbox through the server that hosts this website; it is not stored in a database on the website.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, requested pages, date and time) to keep the website secure and to diagnose problems. To limit abuse of the contact form, the server also keeps a scrambled (hashed) record of the sending IP address for up to one hour.
- Cookies. This website uses a single cookie, named “lang”, and only if you switch the language: it remembers your choice (Serbian or English) for 12 months and contains no personal data. The website does not use analytics or advertising cookies.
- Fonts. Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. To deliver them, your browser connects to Google’s servers, which involves the transfer of your IP address to Google.
3. Why we use it
We use the data you send us only to answer your inquiry, prepare a proposal and, if we start working together, to perform our contract with you. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in running and securing our business.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for marketing. It is accessible only to the service providers we need in order to operate — such as hosting and email providers — and only to the extent their service requires. Some of these providers may process data outside Serbia; where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards.
5. How long we keep it
We keep correspondence for as long as it takes to handle your inquiry and for the duration of any business relationship that follows, and longer only where the law requires it.
6. Your rights
Under the Serbian Law on Personal Data Protection and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy;
- have inaccurate data corrected and unnecessary data deleted;
- restrict or object to the processing of your data;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- lodge a complaint with the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Serbia, or with your local supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, write to office@bdotsolutions.com.
7. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data — for example by adding analytics — we will update this page and the date at the top.
